The 2026/27 Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) Women’s Division One League starts on Saturday, November 7, with 18 clubs competing across two groups for a place in the Women’s Premier League.
The teams have been split evenly between Groups A and B, with each containing nine sides. The opening weekend will feature eight matches at venues across the Greater Accra Region.
Group A consists of Teshie Constant, El-Wonder Ladies, Ridge City FC, Besiktas Ladies, Epiphany Next Gen., Halifax Queens, Berry Ladies, La Ladies and Accra Ladyz.
Faith Ladies, Ideal Ladies, Starlets Ladies, Blessed Ladies, Cabfix Ladies, Sissamba Ladies, Rock Ladies, Royal Galaxy and Accra Christ Angels make up Group B.
Saturday’s programme begins at 08:00, when Sissamba Ladies play Starlets Ladies at the Madina Astroturf. Besiktas Ladies then meet Accra Ladyz at the Abofu Astroturf at 10:00.
There will be another match at the Madina Astroturf at 10:00, with Ridge City FC facing Epiphany Next Gen.
Ideal Ladies will host Cabfix Ladies at the Accra Academy Park at 11:00, before El-Wonder Ladies conclude the day’s fixtures against La Ladies at the Tema Mexico Park at 15:00.
Three further matches are scheduled for Sunday.
Blessed Ladies will take on Accra Christ Angels at the Tuba Astroturf at 10:00, while Berry Ladies face Halifax Queens at the Accra Academy Park at 11:00.
The opening round will finish at 13:00, when Rock Ladies play Royal Galaxy at the Accra Academy Park.
Teshie Constant will not play in Group A during the first round, while Faith Ladies will be on standby in Group B.
Because each group contains nine teams, one club in each section will be on standby during every matchweek. Teams will play eight matches in the first half of the competition and 16 matches in total across the season.
The winners of Groups A and B will qualify for the Middle League at the end of the campaign. They will then meet other regional group winners in a competition for promotion to the Women’s Premier League.
