Arsenal secured a 2-1 victory away to Slavia Prague on Wednesday to return to winning ways in the Champions League and claim their third victory in the league phase.
Noni Madueke gave the visitors the lead in the ninth minute before Viktor Gyokeres doubled Arsenal’s advantage seven minutes before half-time.
Wiktor Nowak pulled one back for Slavia Prague in the 90th minute, setting up a tense finish, but Arsenal held on to take all three points.
The result moved Arsenal on to 10 points from four matches, leaving them third in the standings. They are two points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain and second-placed Real Madrid.
Slavia Prague remain 34th in the competition with one point.
Arsenal had been held to a 2-2 draw by Bayern Munich in their previous Champions League fixture, but made a strong start in Prague and controlled much of the opening half.
Their superiority was reflected in the scoreline at the interval, with Madueke’s early finish followed by Gyokeres’ strike to give the English side a commanding position.
The pattern changed after the break. Arsenal, who had appeared in complete control before half-time, came under sustained pressure and looked increasingly vulnerable as Slavia Prague pushed for a way back into the match.
Nowak’s late goal intensified the pressure on the visitors, but Slavia Prague could not find an equaliser before the final whistle confirmed an important Arsenal win.
Arsenal’s next match is against Hull City in the Premier League on 07 November 2026.
Slavia Prague will face Artis Brno in the Czech Republic League on 08 November 2026.
