Endrick’s position at Real Madrid is under increasing scrutiny after the Brazil forward made only limited appearances this season, with Milan monitoring the situation ahead of a renewed attempt to sign him in January.
According to Calciomercato, Milan are hoping to take advantage of Endrick’s need for regular first-team football and offer him the opportunity to demonstrate his ability more consistently. The Italian club also tried to bring him in during the summer, but Jose Mourinho blocked the move and refused to allow the player to leave.
Endrick has played only 111 minutes across five appearances for Real Madrid this season, starting just one match, according to the club’s official statistics.
His involvement was particularly restricted early in the campaign, when he was given only a few minutes against Elche. He later played a more significant role against Roma in the Champions League, coming on for 37 minutes, scoring once and setting up another goal in a dramatic 4-3 victory. His display earned him the player of the match award.
That performance, however, did not lead to a regular place in the team. Endrick has continued to receive short periods on the pitch, raising questions over whether he can maintain his development without greater continuity.
Mourinho insists Endrick is not for sale
Despite the lack of regular football, Mourinho has made clear that he remains committed to the Brazilian forward and is not prepared to let him leave easily.
The Portuguese manager said interested clubs would have to wait, adding that Endrick is a player he likes greatly and believes has enormous potential. Mourinho also said he did not think the striker needed to leave on loan.
At the same time, he acknowledged that Endrick had not been given as many opportunities as he would have wanted. Mourinho explained that a muscle injury kept the player out for more than a month, while the circumstances of the matches after his recovery made it difficult for him to feature regularly.
Milan owner Gerry Cardinale remains determined to pursue the transfer. The club hopes its relationship with the player’s agency, Roc Nation, can help facilitate discussions with Real Madrid.
However, Milan face competition from Roma, Aston Villa and Arsenal, who are also interested in signing Endrick.
A move to Milan could give the forward the chance to regain a more important role and secure the playing time needed to continue improving, rather than remaining a sporadic presence at Real Madrid. The final decision will depend on the Spanish club’s position and whether Endrick decides he needs to seek a greater opportunity elsewhere.
