Al Qadsiah were gifted a second goal by a costly defensive error from Al Riyadh during their Roshn Saudi League meeting in round 12.
Al Riyadh were already trailing 1-0 when the mistake occurred in the 36th minute. A defender attempted to play the ball back to goalkeeper Milan Borjan, but the pass was both under-hit and difficult to control.
Julian Quinones reacted quickest, sensing the danger before Borjan could reach the ball. The Colombian striker intercepted the attempted back-pass inside the penalty area and took possession in a threatening position.
Rather than shoot himself, Quinones picked out team-mate Abdullah Al-Salem, who was better placed in front of an unguarded goal. He rolled the ball across to Al-Salem, leaving his team-mate with a simple finish.
Al-Salem made no mistake, calmly sending the ball into the net to put Al Qadsiah 2-0 ahead. He then celebrated with his trademark “calm” gesture.
The goal continued a rich spell of form for Al-Salem, who had scored twice in his previous match. His latest finish came after Quinones had taken full advantage of the defensive lapse and created the opportunity rather than attempting to complete it himself.
The result was being played in the 12th round of the Roshn Saudi League, with Al Qadsiah seeking to build on their advantage after scoring twice before half-time.
The listed schedule also shows Al Gharafa in the AFC Champions League Elite on 02 November 2026, while Al Qadsiah are listed ahead of a Roshn Saudi League fixture involving Al Fateh on 06 November 2026, with Al Riyadh also included in that fixture listing.
