Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says his side are ready for the pressure that comes with being the Ghana Premier League’s only unbeaten team.
The defending champions travel to face FC Samartex on Sunday October 18 in a match between two of the leading sides after six rounds of the season.
Medeama sit top of the table with 14 points, while FC Samartex are third on 11 points and will be aiming to reduce the three-point gap between the clubs.
Tanko believes Medeama’s unbeaten start has made them a clear target for their rivals, but says his squad have prepared thoroughly for what he expects to be a difficult away assignment.
“We just had six games and we didn’t lose a game so definitely we are one of the teams that everyone would like to beat,” Tanko said.
“We are preparing very well. We know the venue we are going to is very tough to play at. They have a very good team with a very good coach behind them.”
Medeama will be seeking an important away victory to extend their commanding start to the campaign and strengthen their position at the top of the Ghana Premier League.
