Tonto Dikeh has launched the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle (NWPT), a new faith-based initiative in Abuja that she says is designed for Christians seeking a deeper relationship with God.
The 41-year-old Nollywood actress announced the initiative on Sunday in a post on Instagram, presenting it as a spiritual gathering for believers committed to personal growth, prayer and a renewed experience of faith.
Although the initiative has been described as a new church, Dikeh said NWPT is not structured as a conventional church. Instead, she described it as a meeting point for people who want to pursue a more intentional Christian life and deepen their spiritual commitment.
She said the platform would seek to encourage spiritual awakening among Christians by promoting devotion, purity and purpose. Its wider aims include prayer, revival and transformation among believers from different denominations.
Dikeh also said the tabernacle would provide a space where Christians could seek God’s presence and continue their individual journeys of faith alongside others with similar convictions.
Weekly fellowship meetings will be held every Friday at 18:00 at Omini Grand Hotel in Jabi, Abuja. The venue is located upstairs by Masalachi Junction and was formerly known as Alexis Hotel.
The launch represents a significant development in Dikeh’s personal life, following her public declaration of faith and her move into ministry.
The actress has previously spoken about her own experiences of transformation, saying she overcame a number of challenges after embracing her faith. In recent months, she has also become involved in other spiritual activities, including conducting a deliverance session for a secondary school student.
Dikeh’s latest announcement places those public expressions of faith within a broader initiative, with NWPT intended to bring together Christians seeking spiritual renewal and a stronger commitment to their beliefs.
The ministry’s Friday meetings will provide the regular setting for the fellowship, while its stated purpose is to encourage believers to live with greater dedication and to pursue a deeper connection with God.
By presenting NWPT as a gathering rather than a traditional church, Dikeh has emphasised the initiative’s focus on shared spiritual development. The platform is intended to welcome committed Christians across denominational lines while keeping prayer, revival and personal transformation at its centre.
Her launch of the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle follows a period in which she has increasingly shared her faith publicly and discussed the impact it has had on her life.
