Ghana have named their starting line up for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers opening game against Madagascar today.

Orlando Pirates shot stopper Richard Ofori has been handed the nod in goal and will captain the side as Andre Ayew is named on the bench.

Turkey based defender Daniel Amartey partners Nicholas Opoku in central defence as Gideon Mensah and Alidu play as fullbacks.

Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo and Inaki Williams will operate in attack with Mohammed Kudus behind them as Baba Idrissu and Abdul Samed Salis play in the heart of the park.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 4pm at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The Black Stars are heavily fancied to get off to a winning start and are the favourites to top this group, which also features the Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros and Mali.
