FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated Ghana’s Black Stars on securing qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Infantino celebrated Ghana’s achievement, stating: “Congratulations to the blackstarsofghana on qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in 🇨🇦Canada, Mexico and the 🇺🇸United States. We look forward to your fans bringing colour, style and passion to the greatest fifaworldcup ever”.
The Black Stars finished top of Group I with 25 points after a decisive win, booking their fifth World Cup appearance.
Infantino expressed excitement about Ghana’s return to the global stage, saying, “We expect that your team will establish more global stars to follow in the footsteps of the famous team that made the quarterfinals of the tournament in South Africa in 2010.”
Ghana’s final tournament draw will take place on December 5, where they will discover their opponents for the 2026 World Cup.
