Black Stars coach Otto Addo has named his squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Mali and the Central African Republic.
Addo announced the squad during a media briefing at the Ghana Football Association headquarters on Wednesday.
The squad features debut call-ups for Cagliari midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana and West Bromwich Albion forward Brandon Thomas-Asante.
Captain Andre Ayew was dropped from the team despite scoring five goals for Le Harve this season.
Additionally, fit-again Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey returns to the squad, joining regulars such as Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Alexander Djiku, Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Salis Abdul Samed, and Mohammed Salisu.
Meanwhile, seven players will miss the double-header due to injuries, including Baba Iddrisu, Majeed Ashimeru, Inaki Williams, Joseph Paintsil, Nathaniel Adjei, Dennis Odoi, and Daniel Amartey. Kofi Kyere and Joseph Aidoo.
The team will open camp on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at the Legon Sports Stadium before traveling to Bamako to face Mali and hosting the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
