Ibrahim Sulemana is back in the Black Stars squad for the 2025 Unity Cup in London after enduring a difficult, injury-plagued season at Atalanta.
The 22-year-old midfielder was limited to just nine Serie A appearances due to a persistent adductor problem, which kept him sidelined for large parts of the campaign.
Despite the setbacks, Sulemana still managed to score two goals in the Italian top-flight.
His last appearance for the Black Stars came in November 2024, when Ghana faced Niger in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Known for his high work rate and tough tackling, Sulemana offers a blend of energy and aggression that Ghana’s midfield could greatly benefit from at the Unity Cup.
Ghana will face Nigeria at the GTech Community Stadium in West London on Wednesday, May 28, in search of a ticket to the final of the Unity Cup against Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago.
