Elfsborg defender Terry Yegbe received his first call-up to the Black Stars for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana will face Angola in Luanda on November 15, followed by a home match against Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18 in the final round of the 2025 AFCON
qualifiers.
The former WAFA center back is currently traveling from Sweden to Ghana, accompanied by his Elfsborg teammate Michael Baidoo, who was also selected for the fixtures.
Yegbe is one of the replacements in the team after eight players withdrew from the squad largely due to injuries.
He has been a vital part of Elfsborg’s campaign, making notable contributions in the Swedish Allsvenskan and UEFA Europa League.
He has played in all four of their Europa League matches, including a 1-0 victory over AS Roma.
The 23-year-old has made 22 appearances so far in the 2024/25 season, scoring three goals and providing an assist.
