Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, the talented Black Queens forward, says she hopes to make a mark on Ghana despite never having visited, and hopes to return to the country with the WAFCON crown.
“I’ve never been to Ghana, which I’m not proud of. But I hope that I can enter Ghana with something that I can bring to the country, hopefully a medal, trophy,” she told 3Sports.
Her English mother has kept her connected to her Ghanaian roots, introducing her to traditional foods like peanut butter soup, fufu, kenkey, and gari.
Chantelle fondly recalls, “My mum has always kept me with my roots even though she’s English. She’s always made the African peanut butter soup and the fufu and eating kenkey and Gari.”
With determination, she aims to bring honor to Ghana through her football achievements in the ongoing WAFCON.
