Asec Mimosas head coach, Julien Chevalier says his outfit are going to “work hard” and beat Asante Kotoko to win the 2024 GHALCA President Cup trophy.
The Ghana Premier League giants will host the Ivorian side on Tuesday at the Baba Yara Stadium in a ceremonial game at 16:00GMT.
Coach Julien has declared the game as must win at all cost to lift the trophy for the first time.
“We are glad to be here to honor this ceremonial match, even though we were late to arrive. We will work to win the trophy and maintain our perfect record,” he told the Kumasi based Akoma fm ahead of the game.
The current holders are Hearts of Oak, who emerged victorious in the 2023 edition following a 1-0 win against their rivals Asante Kotoko.
The Porcupine Warriors currently holds the record for the most wins (8) of the cup.
