Hearts of Oak has the most number of players in the Black Stars B squad named by Coach Annor Walker for the upcoming 2023 CHAN qualifiers.
The Phobians have seven players in the 35-man squad named for the preliminary round of the qualifiers against Benin.
Players invited to the Black Stars B team from Hearts of Oak are Daniel Afriyie Barnie, Mohammed Alhassan, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen, Dennis Korsah, Salifu Ibrahim, Richard Attah and Seidu Suraj.
Bechem United has five players called up to the team whilst league leaders Asante Kotoko have all three players in the squad.
The invited players are expected to report to the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram on Monday May 30, to begin preparations for the game.
“Thirty-five players have been invited to report to camp at 4pm on Monday, May 30, 2022, at the Ghanaian Centre of Excellence to begin preparation for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.
“The Black Stars B will play Benin in the preliminary stage of the qualifiers in search of a ticket to the biennial competition scheduled for Algeria in January 2023,” part of a statement from the Ghana FA has said.
Ghana has failed to qualify for CHAN tournament in the last three editions.
The Black Stars reached the final of the inaugural competition in 2009 and in 2014 in South Africa
The winner of the tie will face Nigeria in the final qualifying round.
