In the buildup to the highly anticipated 2023 CAF Awards, Ghana’s emerging talent, Comfort Yeboah, has been named among the three finalist for the 2023 Young Player of the Year category.
The awards ceremony, scheduled for Monday, December 11, in Marrakech, Morocco, will unveil the ultimate winners across various categories.
Comfort Yeboah, who plays for Ampem Darkoa Ladies in Ghana, stands alongside Nesryne El Chad (Morocco, Lille) and Deborah Abiodun (Nigeria, Pittsburgh Panthers) as nominees for this prestigious accolade.
Her remarkable performances have caught the attention of the football fraternity, earning her a well-deserved spot among the top emerging talents in African football.
She has been phenomenal all season – helping Ampem Darkoa to win the domestic double – Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, Women’s FA Cup and the WAFU Zone B Championship in Nigeria.
Comfort scored twice in Ampem Darkoa’s come from behind win against holders AS FAR Club. She’s been very instrumental in the clubs semifinal qualification in the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League in Cote D’Ivoire.
