Ghana U-20 national team played out a goalless draw against Congo in the African Games football competition at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday.
The Black Satellites created decent chances but couldn’t find the back of the net against their opponent.
Aziz Misibau came close with a powerful drive which raffled the crossbar.
Ghana ended up scoring in the 84th minute but the goal was ruled out for offside.
The draw temporarily means team tops group A with 1 point while Congo have same occupying the second place with Gambia and Benin set to play the other Group’s game at the same venue.
Ghana will face Gambia in their next group fixture on March 12, before facing Benin in the last group encounter on 15th March, 2024.
The Black Satellites are hoping to secure next stage qualification despite playing draw in their group opener.
