The young attacker, who has been given the privilege of playing for Mali in this important competition, is not happy to just wear the national jersey; he has a burning desire to score a ton of goals and take the Eagles to unparalleled heights.
The Mali squad is aiming for their maiden continental victory. The Eagles’ greatest performance in the competition came from a 1972 Cameroonian final defeat. Malians want to rise to the challenge decades later.
“I’m an attacker, that means I hope to score a lot of goals for this selection,” said Siriné Doucouré
“If I made this choice, it is not insignificant. Because I’ve been with the national team for a long time. Since I was little, we have been watching at home. So, I wanted to grow with my country,” he added.
Mali is in Group E with South Africa, Namibia, and Tunisia.
