2023/24 Ghana Premier League Week 8: Match Report – Nations FC 4-0 Real Tamale United

Ghana Premier League new boys Nations FC smashed Real Tamale United 4-0 in their match week eight game which was played at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Wednesday afternoon. 

Before the game Nations FC had played five games without a win, they lost three and drew two. Real Tamale United had won two games, drawn two games, and lost one.

Before the clash Hearts of Oak was in 18th place with five points while Real Tamale United occupied the ninth spot in the standings.

Defender Razak Simpson walked the home side out as skipper.

The home side took the lead through Asamoah Boateng Afriyie’s spot kick in the 16th minute. Asamoah Boateng doubled Nations FC’s lead with a beautiful effort in the 33rd minute.

Nations FC’s two goal hero Asamoah Boateng Afriyie had to be replaced in the 40th minute due to an injury. He was replaced by Silva De Santana.

Emmanuel Sarkodie scored in the 68th minute and Emmanuel Agyemang added the fourth goal in the 84th minute.

The victory propels Nations FC to the 13th position while RTU drops to 11th place.
