Aduana FC edged Heart of Lions 1-0 at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Stadium in match week 26 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
It was a hard earned victory in Dormaa for the Fire boys who needed to dig deep to get the win and hold on to second place.
The three points take Aduana FC’s tally to 42 points, seven points behind leaders FC Samartex.
Relegation fighting Heart of Lions were braze to hold the home side until the Fire boys found the winner in stoppage time.
Alex Boakye scored in the third minute of added time to end the game 1-0 in favour of Aduana FC.
The defeat is damaging for Heart of Lions’ relegation fight as it leaves them second from bottom with 25 points, five points away from safety.
Aduana FC face Bibiani Gold Stars at the Bibiani Dun’s Park on Saturday, April 20, 2024, while Heart of Lions take on Nations FC at the Kpando Sports Stadium the same day in match week 27 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
