In a clash that unfolded at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Saturday afternoon, Bofoakwa Tano faced a formidable challenge from Asante Kotoko in their Week 17 encounter of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.

The match concluded with a decisive 2-0 victory for Asante Kotoko, leaving Bofoakwa Tano on the bitter end of defeat.

The Porcupine Warriors’ Ugandan striker, Steven Mukwala, emerged as the star of the day, showcasing his prowess by netting both goals. The first breakthrough came in the 21st minute, as Mukwala found the back of the net, establishing Asante Kotoko’s lead. The teams headed into the dressing room with the scoreline reading 1-0 in favor of the visitors.

The dynamics of the game shifted after halftime, with both sides opting for strategic substitutions. As the second half kicked off, Kotoko brought in Mo Sheriff, replacing the injured Ansu Henry.
