2023/24 Ghana Premier League Week 13: RTU fight to defeat Medeama 1-0 to end 5-game losing streak

Real Tamale United can finally breathe a sigh of relief after recording a first win on the back of five defeats in the Ghana Premier League.

The Tamale-based club on Wednesday afternoon fought to record a narrow win over defending league champions Medeama Sporting Club.

In a game played at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, RTU scored as early as the 9^th minute when Fuseini Mustapha equalised with a fine strike.

Thanks to the victory today, Real Tamale United have ended a five-game losing streak.

The three points have helped RTU to move out of the relegation zone as well with the team now 15^th on the league log.

For Medeama SC, the defeat sets the team back as far as the aim to defend the Ghana Premier League title is concerned.

The Yellow and Mauve outfit is 11^th on the league standings with three more outstanding games to play.
