Heart of Lions continued their push to avoid relegation on Thursday afternoon when the team defeated Dreams Football Club 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The team until last weekend had not won a single game since the start of the 2023/24 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.
But in a contest against Berekum Chelsea, the team fought to secure a delightful 2-0 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
Building on that result, Heart of Lions today set up strong to battle Dreams FC in the outstanding Round 13 game of the Ghana Premier League.
At the end of the game played at the Hohoe Sports Stadium, a solitary strike by Pong Kwesi secured a narrow win for Heart of Lions.
The two consecutive wins have given the team a massive boost as the team now has 14 points.
A third consecutive victory could lift the team out of the bottom of the Ghana Premier League table and increase the team’s chances of escaping relegation.
Up next for Heart of Lions, the team will face off with Medeama Sporting Club.
