Former English Premier League star Yannick Bolasie was left surprised by Jeffrey Schlupp’s exclusion from Ghana’s final squad for the World Cup in Qatar.
Schlupp was conspicuously missing from the 26-man roster which was unveiled by Coach Otto Addo despite his outstanding performances for Crystal Palace this season.
The 29 year old’s last appearance for the Black Stars came September of last year when he played 28 minutes in a World Cup qualifier win over Ethiopia.
Following the announcement of the team on Monday, Bolasie took to social media to express his disappointment.
“No Schlupp,” the DR Congo star wrote on Twitter with emojis depicting his surprise.
