2022 World Cup: Samuel Inkoom sends message to Afriyie Barnieh after Black Stars call-up

Former Ghana international Samuel Inkoom has urged forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh to believe in his capabilities following his inclusion in the Black Stars squad for the FIFA World Cup.

The former Ghana number one right-back, who featured for the senior national team for seven years wants Barnieh to keep working hard for opportunities in the team.

Coach Otto Addo announced his final 26 squad list for the Mundial which starts this Sunday, November 20, 2022.

Barnieh is one of the two home-based players that made the final cut after Kotoko’s Danlad Ibrahim.

Speaking to the club’s official YouTube channel,Inkoom said, “Afriyie Barnieh is a great player, the most important thing is he should believe in himself that he can do it.”

“He has a lot of potentials. He has to stay focused and work hard and the sky will be his limit.”

The team is currently in Abu Dhabi preparing for the tournament as they clash with Switzerland in a friendly on Thursday.
