RSC Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has made a return to the Ghana squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The versatile player was named in Otto Addo’s 55-man provisional list which was released on Friday.
Ashimeru’s last appearance for the Black Stars was in September 2021 where he played 81 minutes in a World Cup qualifier defeat to South Africa in Johannesburg.
The 25-year-old whose career has often been marred by injuries has been sensational for RSC Anderlecht in the ongoing campaign.
Majeed has netted two goals and provided same number of assists in the Belgian Pro Jupiller League.
He will be aiming to make the final 26-man squad which will be announced before the World Cup kicks off on November 20.
