Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyere will miss out on the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar for the uncertainty behind his return from injury.
Daniel, who is on coach Otto Addo’s 55-man preliminary list, and eyeing his first global tournament will now have to wait for the next four years.
He was not part of Freiburg’s comfortable 2-0 win over FC Koln in the Bundesliga last weekend.
It is unclear when the 26-year-old will recover to full fitness with Ghana set to announce their 26-man squad in the coming days.
The Black Stars kick off their campaign against Portugal on November 24, followed by games against South Korea and Uruguay.
