Coach Annor Walker has revealed he turned down the Black Stars scouting role to focus on Black Galaxies preparations for the CHAN tournament in January.
The Ghana FA selected Annor to be part of the Ghana technical team for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The home-based national team coach also has a duty to lead his side through preparations in November and December to get the squad ready for the tournament in the first month of 2023.
As a result, Annor had to decline the Black Stars job for ample time with the Black Galaxies.
“I was invited by GFA to be part of the 4 coaches going to World Cup but I declined because from 20th when World Cup starts, I will be busy in camp with Black Galaxies preparing for the Algeria CHAN tournament scheduled to take place in January 2023,” Coach Annor told Oyerepa FM
“I will even travel outside Ghana within that period as well so we both agreed I can’t be part due to my national team engagement.” Annor Walker added.
Coach Annor Walker led the Black Galaxies to qualify for the CHAN tournament for the first time since 2014.
