2022 World Cup: Ghanaian fans up in arms on social media over ‘leaked’ Black Stars squad

Ghanaian fans have reacted to the possible 26-man Black Stars squad for the 2022 World Cup that has been leaked online, days before the official reveal.

Coach Otto Addo is yet to officially announce his final roster but reports in the local media on Tuesday suggest his decision has been made and players have already been informed of their fates.

Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Barnieh has made the cut according to the leak as has Club Brugge star Kamal Sowah and German-based striker Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer.

While Crystal Palace ace Jeffrey Schlupp, Genk forward Joseph Paintsil, and Former AS Roma sensation Felix Afena-Gyan have supposedly been omitted.

Anderlecht midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has also apparently failed to win over the technical team.

These leaks have sent fans up in arms on social media with several Ghanaians clearly unhappy with some of the exclusions.
