There has been some conflicting reports over the fitness of Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Ofori ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Orlando Pirates shot stopper picked up a knee injury against Amazulu in the South African Premier Soccer League.
Reports went rife in the local media on Sunday that the 28 year old has been ruled out of the global showpiece after MRI scans confirmed he has fluids in his knee which will not heal before end of World Cup.
However, a source close to the player has contacted Kickooffghana.com to deny the reports insisting Ofori will be fit in time for the mundial which is set to start on November 20.
Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates say they excluded the goalkeeper from their squad in the Carling Black Label Cup tie against Mamelodi Sundowns yesterday because he suffered a cold.
Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is expected to name his final 26-man squad for the tournament on Monday.
