2022 World Cup: ‘Black Stars have a young team that can surprise anyone’ – Iñaki Williams

Striker Iñaki Williams believes Ghana is capable of causing a surprise at the Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup.

The Black Stars are in Group H for their fourth campaign at the Mundial. They begin against Portugal on November 24, followed by a clash with South Korea four days later and a final group game against Uruguay and December 2

It is a tough schedule for Ghana with many ruling them out of going past of the group stages.

But Iñaki – who only just had his first two caps in September after switching international allegiance from Spain – is adamant Ghana has the quality to cause upsets.

“We have a very young team, with a lot of quality. Most of them play in Europe,” the Atletico Madrid star told Spanish newspaper Marca.

“We can do great things in the World Cup. It’s not an easy group, but there is a very powerful team.

“We can surprise anyone. We’re not going [to the tournament as] favorites and that’s good for us,” Iñaki added.
