Black Stars coach Otto Addo has started calling players to inform them of their fate in the final squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Having initially named a 55-man squad, Addo will prune it to 26 for the global tournament in Qatar slated for November 20.
Genk forward, Joseph Paintsil Felix Afena-Gyan of Cremonese have been told by Addo that they have been dropped from the 26-man squad.
According to reports, Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been called on phone and informed of his inclusion in the final team.
Several calls are expected to be made by the senior national team gaffer as he closes in on naming his final squad for the World Cup.
Ghana is in group H with Portugal South Korea and Uruguay.
