Legendary Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan was among the notable absentees from Otto Addo’s provisional 55-man squad released on Friday ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

The former Sunderland star recently expressed his desire to make one final hurrah with the Black Stars at global showpiece which is set to kick off on November 20 in Qatar.

However, the 36 year old’s wishes has not been granted by the technical team.
