Former Black Queens forward, Anita Wiredu-Minta is confident the Black Princesses can qualify out of their group despite being drawn against top opponents.
The U-20 women’s national team will face the United States, Japan and Netherlands in Group D.
The Black Princesses will kick start their campaign against the United States on Thursday, August 11.
The former Immigration Ladies striker mentioned ahead of the game that, the Princesses have prepared well enough to be able to excel though it would not be easy.
” In football, everything is possible, and looking at the preparations the entire team has put in place, the girls are confident and believe they can pull through despite drawing in such a tough group”, she said on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9FM.
She added: “Officials have also put in place the necessary things to make sure the girls are ready and are in good health to be able to compete so i am convinced that we are ready”..
