FC Samartex 1996 were 1-0 winners over King Faisal at Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Sunday in week 14 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The win sees them leapfrog the In Sha Allah lads on the league log to 11th while the visitors sit three places below.
Samartex took the lead against the In Sha Allah lads through Raymond Kwoffie’s 13th minute strike.
Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Keyeke missed from the spot to give the hosts a two-goal cushion in the 34th minute.
The first half ended with the Timber Giants a goal up against King Faisal.
There were no further goals in the second half as the Timber Giants held on to pick an important win at Samreboi.
Samartex will next take on Tamale City at home on Wednesday in week 15 while King Faisal will host Medeama SC the same day.
