Samuel Adom Antwi’s goal was enough for King Faisal to beat Tamale City in their match week 13 game played on Sunday afternoon.
King Faisal started the game very well and made some moves into the box of the visitors. Baba Yahaya’s shot was saved by the goalkeeper after a beautiful pass from Godfred Asiamah.
The home side continued to search for an opener and nearly got it in the 26th minute but Gabriel Osei’s weak shot missed the target.
Samuel Adom Antwi broke the deadlock one minute to half time. He tapped home after a brilliant effort from Baba Yahaya.
After half time King Faisal continued to put pressure on Tamale City and nearly scored their second goal in the 58th minute. Gabriel Osei after beating the goalkeeper failed to put the ball into the net.
The home side made a change in the 68th minute Elias Elias came on to replace Gabriel Osei. Goalkeeper Benjamin Aseidu had to be alert to deny Tamale City a goal in the 88th minute.
After five added minutes the score remained the same.
King Faisal is 12th with 17 points on the Ghana Premier League table and Tamale City is 17th with 11 points. King Faisal will take on Samartex in their next game while Tamale City will face Bibiani Gold Stars.
