Bibiani GoldStars maintained their home dominance on Sunday, defeating Real Tamale United at Duns Park.
They needed two goals in one minute to secure three points and compound RTU’s problems.
RTU had put up a strong defensive performance to keep GoldStars at bay until the 72nd minute, when striker Prince Opoku Agyemang scored.
A minute later, forward Emmanuel Appau put the ball in the back of the net.
The victory moves GoldStars up to 11th, further away from the relegation zone. With the goal of staying on track.
They are also the best team at home, with 39 points from 13 wins and two losses. They have a better record than the league leaders, Asante Kotoko, and the current champions, Hearts of Oak.
Meanwhile, RTU’s poor away run continued, and as a result, they are one place above relegation, with the team behind them, Eleven Wonders, having an outstanding game.
