2021/22 Ghana Premier League Week 30: Match Preview – Asante Kotoko vs Berekum Chelsea –

Asante Kotoko will be looking for a win against Berekum Chelsea on Sunday to move them closer to the Ghana Premier League title.

Kotoko’s midweek game against AshantiGold was postponed due to security concerns. They wrote to the Ghana Football Association, expressing their displeasure with the impromptu decision and requesting that all of their games be postponed until the Ashgold match was completed.

But they have reversed their position and stated that they are ready to face Chelsea at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Kotoko hope to get back to winning ways after being held to a draw at home against Aduana Stars. They should’ve gotten more out of the game, but their profligacy cost them as striker Mbella Etouga missed two penalties.

He and his teammates will be hoping to make amends by defeating Chelsea, who have been dreadful in recent games and are in desperate need of three points to get their season back on track.

They have only won one of their last three matches. Chelsea must put on a show on Sunday or risk extending their winless streak.

Kotoko are unbeaten in their last three meetings against Chelsea, with the Blues’ last visit to Kumasi ending in a 2-0 defeat.
