2021/22 Ghana Premier League Week 29: Match Report – Karela United 1-0 Great Olympics –

Karela United defeated Great Olympics by a lone goal at the Crosby Auwah Memorial Park on Wednesday to bounce back to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League.

Karela came into the game having lost to Eleven Wonders, but that didn’t matter as they overpowered top four hopefuls Olympics.

Karela’s third win in five games brings them closer to the top four.

The game was almost certain to end in a tie until forward Richard Berko broke the deadlock in the 98th minute.

The goal was widely celebrated by Karela fans, but it left Olympics devastated after coming so close to taking a point from a difficult ground.

Olympics have dropped to seventh place as a result of the defeat, four points behind fourth place. Karela are sixth, but also four points behind with five games remaining.
