2021/22 Ghana Premier League Week 29: Match Preview–WAFA vs Accra Lions –

Second-bottom WAFA know their Ghana Premier League status will be severely dented if they fail to overcome Accra Lions at home  on Wednesday.

This season has been really tough for the Academy Boys who are on the brink of relegation after five years in the Ghana top-flight.

Last week, they blew away a two-goal lead and settled for a 2-2 draw at bottom-club Elmina Sharks.

Time is running out for coach Guille to rescue the Sogakope based side.

WAFA lost their last match at the WAFA Stadium against Asante Kotoko in a 1-0 defeat.

Accra Lions, on their debut season, seem to have done more than enough to maintain their Premier League status.

The capital side are 12th on the table with 36 points.

Last week’s 1-0 win over Legon Cities was pretty much the assurance points to secure safety.
