2014 World Cup: Portugal coach Paulo Bento targets to reach quarter-final

Portugal coach Paulo Bento says his minimum target for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals Brazil is to reach the last eight.

The ex-international remains confident his side will advance from Group G comprising Ghana, USA and Germany.

“Our goal is to go as far as possible. Our effort will be to reach the quarter-final and, thereafter, try to eliminate one opponent at a time,” Bento stated.

Portugal will be relying on the ingenuity of reigning FIFA Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo who helped Real Madrid to win the UEFA Champions League.
