13th African Games: We have good players to compete – Black Satellites coach Desmond Ofei

The head coach of the Ghana U20 male national team, Desmond Ofei has assured that his team will fight to make the country proud at the 13th African Games.

The upcoming 13th African Games will be held in Accra, Ghana.

Ghana’s U20 male national team nicknamed Black Satellites will be competing in the football tournament at the games.

Ahead of the tournament, the Coach for the side, Desmond Ofei has noted that he has a good team and will ensure they prepare very well for the task ahead.

“We have a good team, a squad and good individual players and we are looking forward to form a good team for the competition and we are excited to get it started,” the Black Satellites coach said.

Coach Desmond Ofei further disclosed that the Black Satellites will play some high-profile friendly matches before the start of the African Games.

“We will play a few high-profile friendlies hopefully against some Ghana Premier League teams. We are also awaiting confirmation to play a friendly match against Cote D’Ivoire before the tournament begins.

“We have taken the challenge of representing our country in front at home in our strides. It is a positive thing for us and we have taken the pressure that comes with it as a motivation,” Coach Ofei added.

The 13th edition of the African Games will be staged in Accra from March 8-23, 2024.
