The Ghana Ministry of Youth and Sports has submitted a $1.12 million budget for approval to support the Black Stars’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against the Central African Republic and Comoros.

The budget breakdown includes $733,000 for the away match against the Central African Republic on October 8 in Casablanca and $387,000 for the home match against Comoros on October 12 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The estimates cover essential expenses such as travel, accommodation, per diems, training facilities, officiating fees, match bonuses, and support services. Minister Kofi Adams assured that the budget adheres to agreed fiscal benchmarks, saying,

“There has been no deviation.” He added, “The players are our priority, and we have treated them with respect and professionalism.”

Ghana needs four points from these two matches to secure qualification for the next stage of the tournament.
