Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar is nearly back from a significant injury spell. The Brazilian attacker took some time out from his rehabilitation to chat about his future after his playing days.
Now at the age of 30 and not too far from calling it a day, Neymar was asked what type of ideas he has floating inside his head regarding his post-career?
The former FC Barcelona and Santos star said he is not certain but he could never become a technical director or coach.
“I have a few things in mind but no concrete plans. I’m starting to think about that kind of stuff but nothing football-related,” Neymar said on the Fenomenos Podcast.
“I’d like to work with something other than football. I don’t know, if I’m not playing football there’s nothing else I can do that’s football-related.
“I’d be terrible as a director, I’d be too chill. The players would be my friends and the club would be doomed.
“I can’t be a coach. I’d either get angry too quickly and tell everyone to p*** off and quit, or they’d fire me so I’m done with football afterwards,” he concluded.]
Meanwhile, PSG are now preparing to host St-Etienne in Paris this weekend.
