Teenage Ghanaian midfielder Ziyad Salifu has completed a move to Swedish Allsvenskan side Degerfors IF ahead of the 2025 season.
Salifu penned a three-year contract after passing a medical on Thursday, as confirmed by the club.
The 18-year-old, who was groomed at Ghanaian lower-tier side Diamond Seed Sporting Club, secured the deal after a successful trial with the Stora Valla Stadium outfit.
“We are very happy to welcome such an exciting player to the club,” Assistant Sporting Director Sean Sabetkar said.
“Ziyad has been on our radar since last fall, and we are proud that he sees our club as an important step in his continued career and development. As a player, he stands out through his speed and his strengths in the offensive, and we look forward to following his journey with us.”
Salifu is expected to link up with his new teammates on Monday as they prepare for the upcoming 2025 Allsvenskan season.
