Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has urged his players to remain focused ahead of their Week 15 clash against Eleven Wonders in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Speaking ahead of the midweek encounter, the experienced tactician described the fixture as a tricky test, despite Eleven Wonders’ struggles this season.
Zito stressed that no opponent should be taken lightly in the league.
“It’s very tricky because this is a league we are playing and we cannot underrate anybody. We must stay focused to achieve our objective,” he told AKSC Media.
The Kotoko coach revealed his side’s mindset going into the match, insisting every game presents a challenge.
“Throughout this week we didn’t give the place any chance. We are turning our mind that every match Kotoko plays is a difficult match.”
Zito also acknowledged Kotoko’s away form but maintained that the title race remains wide open.
“I think it’s unfortunate that we are not winning many away matches. The league is still in existence so there is no need for calculations now. We are still staying focused on our objective that we need to win the league.”
The Week 15 fixture between Eleven Wonders and Asante Kotoko kicks off at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
