Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has shared insight into his close relationship with Hearts of Oak boss Mas-Ud Didi Dramani ahead of their much-anticipated Premier League clash on Sunday, November 9, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The fixture the first Super Clash of the 2025/26 season will see both sides put their unbeaten runs on the line in what promises to be one of the campaign’s defining early battles.

Speaking to Kotoko’s media team, Zito fondly reflected on his past working relationship with Dramani during their time together at the Porcupine Warriors.

“The telepathy between us worked a lot because when you look at the results we chalked, it tells you how well we connected at that time,” Zito said.

However, the Kotoko boss was quick to stress that friendship will take a back seat once the whistle blows.

“We are brothers, we talk a lot, but we are going there with the mindset of beating him,” he added.

Kotoko currently sit eighth on the table with three wins and two draws from five matches, while Hearts occupy fourth place after four wins and four draws in eight games.

Sunday’s result could play a key role in shaping both clubs’ title ambitions early in the season.
