Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito says sharpening the team’s finishing must be the priority after their 1-1 draw with Aduana FC on matchday 10 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors, who have now gone two games without a win since beating Hearts of Oak 1-0, were forced to settle for a point despite controlling large portions of the game. Aduana opened the scoring early, but Lord Amoah equalised to keep Kotoko level.
Zito admitted his side created enough chances to win the match but lacked the needed precision in front of goal.
“We had a lot of possession and created many chances, but we couldn’t score. We need to work on our finishing,” he said.
Kotoko sit sixth on the table, five points adrift of joint leaders Medeama and Heart of Lions. They face Young Apostles next in an outstanding fixture, where Zito hopes improved efficiency will help them return to winning ways.
