The Ghana Football Association has appointed Yusif Basigi as head coach of the newly formed Black Queens B.
Basigi, a veteran of the women’s game, has previously led the Black Queens, the Black Princesses, and club side Hasaacas Ladies.
He also enjoyed a stint with Simba Queens in Tanzania and was part of a GFA technical training programme in Germany in 2022, highlighting his broad experience.
Supporting him is an experienced backroom staff. Former Black Queens defender Dora Zuta will serve as assistant coach, while ex-Kotoko and Black Stars goalkeeper Isaac Amoako will take charge of the goalkeepers.
Aboagye Dacosta has been appointed athletic coach, Memunatu Mumuni equipment officer, and Princess Amoako welfare manager.
The medical team features Dr. Baah Christiana as team doctor, assisted by Rabiatu Abubakar (masseur) and Gyamfuaa Amponsah (physiotherapist).
According to the GFA, the Black Queens B will act as a bridge between the youth sides and the senior national team, offering locally based players a platform to develop and push for full international recognition.
With Basigi at the helm and a strong technical unit in place, the Black Queens B is expected to play a central role in Ghana’s women’s football pathway.
