Young Apostles FC founder, Mr. Peter Oppong Domfeh, has announced that the club will not consider signing players with children ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.
This decision comes after the team secured promotion to the topflight league by winning Zone One of the Access Bank Division One League.
In an interview with Light FM, Domfeh cited significant investments in the club as the reason for this policy.
“If you are a player and have two kids, we won’t sign you. We are investing huge monies into the club and we aren’t ready to work with players with children.”
Domfeh’s comments have raised eyebrows, sparking debate about the club’s priorities and potential discrimination against players with families.
The Ghana Premier League is set to begin on September 6.
