Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has, on Saturday, provided yet another injury update on sidelined wide-man Ansu Fati.
Youngster Ansu has of course not featured for Barca since late January, confined to the sidelines owing to a fresh hamstring injury picked up during a Copa del Rey meeting with Athletic Club.
Recent weeks, though, have seen excitement begin to mount across the Blaugrana’s fanbase, as the club’s explosive La Masia product inches ever closer to a return to the pitch.

Speaking to the media ahead of his side’s showdown with Rayo Vallecano on Sunday, Xavi, in turn, was inevitably asked for an update on Ansu’s fitness earlier today.
And the Spanish tactician went on to reveal that those of a Barca persuasion intent on seeing their gifted young attacker back on the pitch this weekend need not get their hopes up.
Instead, Ansu is in line to make his comeback in a little over a week’s time, when the Catalans welcome Mallorca to the Camp Nou:
“If everything goes well he’ll be there for the next game, against Mallorca. He’s totally with the group. It’s a very positive note for us and he can help us a lot.”

Araujo included
Whilst one key member of Xavi’s ranks prepares to sit out the action this weekend, though, in a boost for Barcelona, another pair of the club’s stars look set to be at the disposal of their boss in 24 hours’ time.
For those not aware, both Ronald Araujo and Dani Alves were forced into fitness-based departures during the week, after pulling up during the Blaugrana’s win over Real Sociedad.
The two defenders, though, have nevertheless been named in the club’s latest matchday squad, therefore expected to feature from the off up against Rayo.
